A fence can provide security, aesthetics, safety, and more. Fences can be used as barriers to keep people away from pools when not in use, to keep pets in the yard and out of harms way, and they can provide privacy so that you can fully enjoy your space. 

A Guardian Fencing installation can take anywhere from a day to several days to install on average, depending on the volume and scope of work required for your specific project. 

In Cornwall, a fence permit is required to install a fence on your property. 

Guardian Fencing provides a 2-year labor warranty on all installations. The manufacturers of certain fence materials also provide a warranty. 

Fence maintenance depends on which material you have installed. For all fence materials, it is recommended that they are kept clean and vegetation is kept at bay under and around the fence. For specific materials like wood, it is recommended that it is stained at lease every couple years. 

The cost of a fence depends on a variety of factors including material, site conditions, installation process, etc. Generally, fencing can cost between $25/lf for your most cost effective options to $175/lf for the most luxurious options. 

First, you would need to reach out to Guardian Fencing using the "Contact Us" section of the website. We would then book and complete an on-site consultation to take measurements, help you decide what type of fence that would be best for you, answer any questions and address any concerns. Once we have all of the required information, we send an estimate by email (of phone if you prefer) reflecting the most up-to-date pricing. From there, if you agree to the terms of the estimate, we will take a deposit, order your material, and book you in for an approximate date to have your fence installed. 

Specific installation procedures vary by type of fence. For chain-link, all main and gate posts are set in concrete. Line posts are driven into the earth. For wood, ornamental and vinyl, all posts are set in concrete. 

Lifespans for fences vary by the type of fence. Although, you can expect a new installation to last between 15-25 years.

We can supply many difference colors of chain-link, vinyl and ornamental. The height restrictions vary by local by-law.

Guardian Fencing accepts Cash, Cheque or E-Transfer currently.

Credit card can be accepted, but there is a fee.

The property should be clean of debris and overgrowth within reason. If there are plants along the fence line, they should be moved or trimmed prior to the fence installation. The property stakes should be located and visible. 

The biggest differences between residential and commercial are the wall thickness and diameter of framing material, cost to the client, and wall thickness and diameter of panel material.
